Female Serial Killers Who Were Prostitutes


1761 – Dorcas "Darkey" Kelly – Dublin, Ireland

Systematic murder of her customers, buried on site at the bordello.

1807 – Ching Shih – China

Ching Shih, also known as Cheng I Sao, was a Chinese pirate during the early 18th century. Ching Shih was a former prostitute who married the infamous pirate Cheng I.

1808 – Catherine Bouhours ("Auguste Manette") – Paris, France

One of the most remarkable of all female serial killers: a dedicated misandrist; cross-dressing; a unique murder weapon and sophisticated modus operandi.

1809 – Anna Zwanziger (Nannette Schoenleben) – Sanspaareil, Bavaria, Germany

1861 – Ruddah – India

Ruddah was head of a a gang of murderous prostitutes.

1861 – Theresa of Sicily – Constantinople, Turkey

1868 – Anne Gaillard Delpech – Montauban, France

Delpech was an especially cruel baby farmer who murdered infants.

1875 – Minnie Taylor – Humboldt, Tennessee, USA

Murdered three men on separate occasions.

1883 – Mary Ganole – Flemingsburg, Kentucky, USA

Mary Ganole murdered two men and deliberately allowed the lynching of an innocent man, executed for the murder that she herself had committed.

1883 – Trailokya ("Troyluko Raur") – Calcutta, India

1896 – Amelia Dyer – Caversham, England

She did not have any need to beg since her double work as a procurer and prostitute gave her sufficient money to live well.

1904 – Elizabeth Wiese – Hamburg, Germany

As she had to distance herself from dealing in babies, Wiese forced her daughter Paula into prostitution. Paula fled to London, but became pregnant. She returned to Hamburg and gave birth in a cellar. Immediately after the birth Wiese drowned Paula's baby and burnt the body in the stove. [Wikipedia]

1906 Emma LeDoux (McVicar) – Jamestown, California, USA

1906 – Wilhelmenia Eckhardt – New York, New York, USA

“When [Marie Schoch] came to this country she found her mother [Wilhelmenia Eckhardt] conducting a disorderly house [house of prostitution] and she declared that her mother sought to have her become an inmate of the place. She refused.”

1909 – Olga Ivanova Tamarin – Kurdino village, Novaya Ladoga, Russia 

A mother, her 17-year-old daughter and accomplices robbed, murdered, mutilated and cannibalized 27 persons. According to one report, the daughter was, or posed as, a prostitute to lure the victims.

1910 – Maria Piaszta – Mitrovitz, Serbia
 
1911 – Maria Gerzsany (Gerszan, Gersan) – Kistelek, Csongrad, Hungary

Suspected pimp, human trafficker. 

1912 – Louise Lindloff – Chicago, Illinois, USA

1912 – Enriqueta Marti – Barcelona, Spain

“The Vampiress of Barcelona, Enriqueta Marti was An occult cannibal pedophile child-trafficker who once forced a girl to eat the flesh of one of the children she had murdered.

1924 – Marie Krueger (Krüger) – Hammer (near Berlin), Germany

1927 – Alma Theede – Memphis, Tennessee, USA

1938 – Moulay Hassen – Fez, Morocco

Hassen, once a famous dancer became a “madame” for prostitutes. This woman kidnapped, tortured and serially murdered many young women (as well as boys). She was discovered to be a serial killer following the discovery of dismembered body parts of one of her victims. She fed human flesh to her cats. She was convicted and sentenced to death, but due to her powerful political connections she was freed to continue her criminal career. Convicted of new crimes she was sentenced to only 15 years in prison.

1944 – Louise Peete – Pacific Palisades, California, USA

Louise Peete was recidivist murderess with a long career as a predator who was eventually executed. 

1960 – Magdalena Solis – Yerba Buena, Chiapas, Mexico – “The High Priestess of Blood”

“Magdalena Solis also known as the High Priestess of Blood, was a serial killer, a member of a cult in Mexico that was responsible for orchestrating several murders, and participated in drinking the blood of the victims. She was convicted of 8 murders and sentenced to 320 years in prison. Magdalena played a role similar, in some respects, to a pimp or procuress. Santos and Cayetano Hernandez recruited Magdalena Solis and her brother Eleazor to pose as mystical gods so their gang could exhort money and sex from their followers. Early in 1963, the Hernandez brothers convinced the remote village of Yerba Buena that the Inca gods of the mountain were willing to give them fabulous wealth in exchange for their undivided loyalty and sexual favors. 1964 – Carmen, Delfina, & Maria Luisa de Jesús González San Francisco del Rincón, Mexico

“The Bordello from Hell”

1968 – Mary Bell – Scotswood, Newcastle, England – daughter of a prostitute.“Bell’s mother, Betty, was a prostitute who was often absent from the family home, travelling to Glasgow to work. Mary was her first child, born when she was sixteen years old.”

1980 – Robin Murphy –Fall River, Massachusetts, USA

1983 – Charmaine Phillips – Durban, South Africa

1985 – Griselda Blanco – USA & Colombia

Blanco, a major international organized crime figure, resorted to prostitution for a few years in Medellín, until age 20.

1988 – Dorothea Puente – Sacramento, California, USA

In the 1960s Dorothea Gray [Puente's maiden name] was arrested for owning and managing a brothel and was sentenced to 90 days in the Sacramento County Jail.

1991 – Aileen Wuornos – Port Orange, Florida, USA

1994 – Rosemary West – Gloucestershire, England

With her husband Frederick as her crime partner, she murdered and sexually abused 11 women, including her own daughter and step-daughter.

1999 – Lao Rongzi – Jiangxi, China

2000 – Credonia Mwerinde – Kunungu, Uganda

She was both a serial killer on an individual basis and a serial mass murderess on an epic scale. 2003 – Jaroslava Fabiánová – Decin, Czech Republic

A recidivist who served time for murder and was released to murder vagain, she is an avowed misandrist: “The Czech Aileen Wuornos.”

2004 – Caroline Peoples & Angela Ford-Wright – Chicago, Illinois, USA

2015 – Tamara Samsonova – St. Petersburg, Russia

Samsonova, suspected of 11 murders in which she dismembered the victims’ corpses,  lied to police about her background, claiming she was a retired actress and a graduate of the Vaganov Ballet Academy, when in fact she was a former Soviet “monitor” who surveilled hotel guests at the Grand Hotel Europe, which was once regarded the most luxurious hotels in the world. The description of Samsonova’s job “monitoring” hotel guests describes what in the Soviet era was a KGB-employed prostitute. Prostitution was illegal in the Soviet era, yet prostitutes were used by the KGB as informants, assigned to hotels to collect information on foreign guests.

2016 – Juana “La Peque Sicaria” – Baja California, Mexico

2019 – Angelina Barini – Queens County, New York, New York, USA
